Description
Then, I heard her spirit tell me goodbye. I felt something inside of me crack. I was going to lose my Kindred Spirit because I was a f*****g coward. I was too afraid to do what needed to be done to secure my happily ever after. This was b******t! My father would have been so f*****g ashamed of me.
I started to run to towards her. I was well over thousand miles away even at my top speed. I knew I would never f*****g reach her in time. I didn't want to reach her in time. She would be dead as a door knob before I could get there. I ran for the sake of being active, to punish myself. I berated myself for being so stupid and staying so far away from her.
I ran anyway, I ran with the goal of reaching the place where my Kindred Spirit's spirit left her body then I could sit alone and grieve for my loss. I ran and ran for two days without f*****g stopping. I ran all night long and all day long. I ran long after I was too physically exhausted to run anymore. I ran knowing that without feeding I could easily slip into blood lust. None of that mattered to me.
I arrived at the wreckage some fifty hours after the crash. The car was just a mess of melted metal. It was clear that both occupants had to be dead. I move as close to the fire as I could without setting myself on fire. That’s when her spirit suddenly joined mine. I was shocked to my core to feel her blending with me. The dance had begun. Knowing that some part of her was still alive I reached into the car and pulled out what was left of her body.
It was a miracle that she was alive. I looked again at the wreckage and was f*****g amazed that she had managed to somehow stay alive after more than two days. To say that she was burned on eighty of her body was an understatement. She suffered third-degree burns on one hundred percent of her body. On the lower half of her body fire had removed all her flesh and muscle right down to the bone. Before I could change my mind I did the most unimaginable selfish thing that I could have ever done. I sliced open my wrist and allowed my blood to seep into my Kindred Spirit’s mouth.
I knew my blood would force her body to stay alive. I knew it was going to be a daily f*****g battle for many more months possibly years to come to keep her alive. Not knowing where else to go, I held her gently in my arms started to walk towards my parent’s home in Pennsylvania. It was the closest place I could think of and I knew I could get there before the sun came up again.
